We’re using AI for identification only -; We never store or use photos for training.
How do rotations work?
Once you’ve scanned your toys, Toy Rotation App generates a balanced rotation that covers different developmental categories. Research shows that fewer, well-chosen toys lead to longer and more creative play. You can regenerate a rotation any time, and mark favorites as “never rotate” so they always stay out.
How many toys should be in a rotation?
Research and parent consensus suggest 8–10 toys per rotation is the sweet spot. Toy Rotation App generates rotations within this range, ensuring each one covers a mix of developmental areas - something to build, something to move, someone to play with, something to create.
When should I rotate toys?
Most parents rotate based on observation rather than a rigid schedule - when interest wanes, toys are being ignored, or your child needs something fresh. A good rule of thumb is every 1–4 weeks. Toy Rotation App helps you track what’s out and what’s in storage so you always know what to swap.
What about my child’s favorite toy?
You can mark any toy as “never rotate.” We’ll never suggest removing a comfort item, lovey, or daily favorite from the rotation. Some toys aren’t just toys.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Your toy inventory, rotations, and play stories are all stored locally on your device. You only need an internet connection when scanning new toys or generating new rotations and stories.
Where is my data stored?
All your data - toy inventory, child profiles, rotations, and settings - is stored locally on your device.
Can I delete all my data?
Yes. Go to Settings > Delete All Data to permanently remove everything - all toys, children, rotations, stories, images, and settings. This cannot be undone.
Is my child’s information safe?
Toy Rotation App only stores birth month and year to generate age-appropriate rotations. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information about your child. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
